What Are Proposals?
Proposals are formally written plans and examples of how an event will look, feel and run. Salsa’s Proposals make the process of creating one simple by automatically generating a website based off of the event’s features and settings.
The proposal is typically shared with a potential client who has already provided you with information about the event – from theme, colors, and requested features from capture modes to backdrops.
However, you can generate multiple proposals by creating multiple sample events based on different packages that you offer and let them see the benefits of purchasing a higher tier with more features.
While the general outline of the proposal is pre-designed many of its core components are fully customizable and can give your client a realistic idea of what they can expect when they book with you.
What To Know
Proposal Settings
Design
Your proposal’s design uses the same customizations in the event’s Live Gallery.
Features shown and highlighted are determined by the selections made within the Event Settings, Event Capture Settings, and Sharing Settings.
Backdrop
Choose a backdrop from PBSCO’s collection or upload your own image to appear in the proposal behind the models.
You can select a PBSCO backdrop that you don’t own and if the client likes it, you can click to purchase it straight from our store.
Note: If a green screen has been added to your event, this will replace the selected backdrop.
Call to Action
Create a button to appear on each section that, when clicked, takes the visitor to a website of your choosing.
Customized Text
Change the text that appears alongside each activated feature.
How To
Design Your Proposal
The primary design features for Proposals can be adjusted from the Live Gallery settings. These settings include:
Accent Color
Lead Section Logo
Featured Image
Featured Image Overlay Mode
While Company Info isn’t necessarily a design aspect of the Proposal, adding your company information with the Live Gallery settings will make them appear within the Proposal.
Which sections show up within the Proposal are determined based on which features are turned on for that event. That is, if Photo and Boomerang modes are turned on, a section describing those capture modes will appear.
How To
Add an Overlay to Capture Mode Examples
To add an overlay to appear on the capture modes, simply add an overlay to the event from the Event Capture Settings in the Salsa web app.

Note: If multiple overlays are added to an event, the first overlay will be displayed in the proposal.

What To Know
Green Screen Backdrops
Adding a green screen to your event is a great way to show the client how they will look at the event. Here’s what to keep in mind when using a green screen:
If your event includes a green screen (or background removal for Virtual Booth) the image or video will be used as the backdrop for the examples in your proposal
You do not need to select the green or blue chroma backdrops from the proposal’s backdrop options
To return to using one of the backdrops from the PBSCO collection, simply turn off or removal all of the green screen assets within the Green Screen settings
