What Is a Custom Interface?
A Custom Interface is a fully, or partially, customized Event Interface used to create a more branded experience for your guests.
While Queso comes preloaded with many Interfaces, you and your client may be looking for something more specific for the event.
Creating a Custom Interface allows you to change everything from the Tap to Start screen, the pre and post-capture messaging, and the displayed modes available for guests to select.
How To
Create a Custom Interface
To create a Custom Interface:
Launch QuesOS
Select an event or create a new event
Tap Interface Editor
Tap Custom in top right corner
Tap Create Theme
How To
Use the Custom Interface Builder
When creating a new Custom Interface, you’ll have the options to give it a name, select the LED color, and upload images and/or videos for the interface screens.
To use the Custom Interface Builder:
Type in a name for the Custom Interface
Select an LED color
Tap Upload under the screen you want to customize
Select a compatible JPG, PNG, or MP4 file from Queso’s hard drive or connected storage
Tap Save to finish

Interface Name
Adding a name will help keep your Custom Interfaces organized.
Once a Custom Interface is saved, the name cannot be changed.
Select LED
This will change the color of the LED strip just above the front screen during the capture countdown
Interface Screens
Depending on other event settings, not all screens are used during a capture session (e.g. the loading video will not appear for all capture modes and Post Share will only appear if the back screen is not set to Gallery Mode)
How To
Modify a Custom Interface
After creating a Custom Interface, it can be modified to change the selected LED or any of the interface screens. The name of a Custom Interface cannot be changed.
The Custom Interface can also be deleted if it is no longer needed.
Note: You will not be able to delete a Custom Interface if it is currently being used for an event within QuesOS.
To modify an existing Custom Interface:
Launch QuesOS
Select an event or create a new event
Tap Interface Editor
Tap Custom in top right corner
Tap the triple-bar icon (≡) next to the Custom Interface name
Tap Modify
Make any desired changes
Tap Save
