How to Download Event Captures and Sharing Data

The good news is that it’s incredibly simple using the Salsa App and you’ll have all of your captures, survey information, and a link to your Live Gallery within minutes!

What Is Download & Export?
Salsa allows you to download all of the captures, sharing information, and survey results from an event.
You can also email all of that information to a client conveniently directly from the Salsa web app.
The sharing information – such as guests’ email addresses and phone numbers – can be used for marketing campaigns or simply reaching back out.
To access the Download & Export options:
Log in to the Salsa web app
Select the event that contains the captures you want to export
Click Download and Export
Select which content you’d like to receive via-email
Enter in an email address and click Send Email
How To
Download Event Captures
All of the captures from an event can be downloaded directly to your computer from the Salsa web app.
To download event captures:
Log in to the Salsa web app
Select an event
Click Download & Export
Click Download ZIP
A ZIP file will begin downloading to your computer.
Note: Due to how the ZIP file is created on the server, your browser might not provide an estimated size or time remaining until it is complete.
Depending on your internet speed, number of captures, and size of the files, the download may take a several minutes to complete.
How To
Email a Link to Download Event Captures
Salsa provides a convenient way to email a link to download the event captures. This can be used to send to a client, yourself, or anyone else.
To send a link to download event captures:
Log in to the Salsa web app
Select an event
Click Download & Export
Enter an email address
Click the Event Captures checkbox
Click Send Email
You can include the other options on the Download & Export screen by clicking the checkbox next to each one.
IMPORTANT: The link to download the event captures will not work if the event is deleted. Your Salsa subscription includes unlimited events and storage – there is no reason to delete your events.
How To
Download Event Email Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Survey Results
If Email, Texting, or QR Code sharing is turned on, Salsa will collect all email addresses and phone numbers entered by guests.
You can email a link to download a CSV file to yourself, a client, or anyone else. This CSV file can be opened in any spreadsheet application, such as Apple Numbers, Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets.
The CSV file will also include survey results if it was turned on for that event.
To download email addresses, phone numbers, and survey results:
Log in to the Salsa web app
Select an event
Click Download & Export
Enter an email address
Click the Sharing & Survey Stats checkbox
Click Send Email
You can include the other options on the Download & Export screen by clicking the checkbox next to each one.

What To Know
Opening and Reading the Sharing & Survey Stats File
The sharing and survey stats are stored as a CSV (comma-separated values) file.
The CSV file is best opened as a spreadsheet using an application such as Apple Numbers, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar.
The sharing and survey stats includes collected information about the guests organized in to various columns. This information includes:
Email and Phone Number
Collected when a guest enters their email address or phone phone number on the sharing screen of a Salsa
QR Code Email and Phone Number
Collected when a guest enters their email or phone number on the QR code landing page.
Live Gallery Email
Collected from the Live Gallery when a guest shares a capture or whole gallery using the email link on the page if Social Sharing is turned on in the Live Gallery settings.
The sharing and survey stats CSV file also includes information about the event captures and shares. This information includes:
File Name
This is the name of the JPG or MP4 file that is included in the downloadable ZIP file containing all of the event captures.
Content Link
A direct link to the individual capture on the Live Gallery
Capture and Share Time
The date and time when the capture was taken and shared. The date is displayed in YYYY-MM-DD format, and the time is displayed in 24-hour time in the time zone of where the event took place.
