How To Transport Guac & Chips

The Guac Booth can be a bit intimidating at first, especially when thinking about traveling with it or needing to ship it. Don’t fret! We’re here to help with tips and tricks to help make sure your Guac and Chips arrive safely to their destination.

How To

Transport Musts

The Guac can seem a bit intimidating to travel with, however when transporting, there are just a few things to keep in mind:

  • Make sure ALL Guac accessories are in their proper place in the case, and no accessories are left loose. Loose accessories can damage the booth.

  • During shipping, it is best to remove the camera. While not absolutely necessary, it is the safest option.

What To Know

Tips And Tricks

As with Salsa, we have found a few tips and tricks to best travel with Guac - and Chips!

  • Use a separate carrying case or piece of luggage to transport the camera and printer media

  • Zip ties can be used to keep the cases securely closed

How To

Ship Chips

The Guac Booth, unlike the Salsa, has a printer included. There are a few notable things when prepping Chips for shipment:

  • Make sure the printer media has been removed from the printer and the scrap bin has been cleaned out.

    • Transporting with the printer media inside the printer can cause issues with jamming and/or damage the heating element

  • After transport, especially flying, your printer will need time to acclimate to the current temperature and humidity level. We do not advise using the printer immediately after travel.

How To

International Shipping

Shipping a booth internationally can be a struggle, especially as the cost can go up significantly depending on where you are shipping it to.

An alternative to regular shipping is potentially using a Freight Forwarder. We have some information on Freight Forwarding available here.

What To Know

Shipping Insurance

When shipping anything, there is sadly the chance for the item to get damaged or lost in transport. While the Guac and Chips cases have been extensively tested - including being thrown down the stairs! - damage can still occur, and it can still be lost.

This is why we always recommend insuring your booth when shipping. That way, if anything happens, it is much easier to get the booth repaired or replaced.
