What is the Design Studio Editor?
The Design Studio Editor is a Fiesta feature that gives you all of the tools necessary to make sure every capture is unique and exactly what your client is looking for.
From the Design Studio Editor, you can choose, edit, and create Photo Templates and Overlays for your events.
How To
Access The Design Studio Editor
To access the Design Studio editor from the Events page:
Log into Fiesta
In the top left, select the Design Studio tab
In the upper right, select Create Design, or select a design to edit
From here you will be asked to select a Photo Template or Overlay style, and then will be brought to the Design Studio Editor!
How To
Adjust Layers
In the Design Studio Editor, each design element has its own layer. These layers can be deleted, reorganized, or edited. They can also be locked to ensure no changes are made to specific layers!
To lock/unlock layers:
Log in to Fiesta
Select Design Studio in the upper left
Select the design you wish to unlock layers on or select Create Design
If selecting Create Design, select the Template or Overlay layout
Click on the stack icon on the right
To lock, click on the unlocked lock icon to activate the lock
To unlock, click on the locked lock icon to deactivate the lock
When layers are locked, no adjustments can be made from the layer tab or in the Design Studio Editor area. After the layers are unlocked, layers can be adjusted by pixels or by dragging the sides and corners.
To adjust layers:
Log in to Fiesta
Select Design Studio in the upper left
Select the design you wish to unlock layers on or select Create Design
If selecting Create Design, select the Template or Overlay layout
Click on the stack icon on the right
Confirm layers are unlocked
Click the arrow to the right of the layer
From here, you can adjust the exact pixel height and width, as well as the x and y positions. If the selected layer should cover the whole area, the exact ratio can be selected, and the layer can also be rotated a full 360°. The layer position can also be adjusted from this menu.
How To
Choose A Design From The Library
The Design Studio Editor has a wide range of pre-created Template and Overlay designs to choose from, sorted by layout. These Template and Overlay designs cover a variety of events, from Bat and Bar Mitzvahs to Tailgate Parties to New Year’s Celebrations. All at the touch of a button.

From here, you can scroll through all the designs available for the layout you have selected. You can also filter the designs visible by base color and category by clicking the Filters button.
If you would rather change the template or overlay layout you have chosen, you can also change that from this menu!
To adjust the Template or Overlay layout:
Log in to Fiesta
Select Design Studio in the upper left
Select the design you wish to unlock layers on or select Create Design
If selecting Create Design, select the template or overlay layout

Features
Customize Designs
The Design Studio gives you the ability to customize every part of the Photo Template or Overlay you use.
Pick the perfect font, change the text, add or delete graphics and art assets — all from one page.
Customizing these designs ensures that you are representing both your clients and your brand; Design Studio makes the process simple and painless.
How To
Add Design Elements
Along with using the Design Studio Editor Library, you can also add your custom graphics to Templates and layouts. Background designs, overlays, and art assets can all be uploaded and saved to your account with just the push of a button.
To add graphics:
Log in to Fiesta
Select Design Studio in the upper left
Select the design you wish to unlock layers on or select Create Design
If selecting Create Design, select the template or overlay layout
Select the + icon above the design space
Select which element you are uploading
Select Upload from your Device
Select the file you wish to upload
Once the element is uploaded, it can be used in this and other designs as well.
How To
Add Placeholders to Templates
Along with uploading custom graphics, in the Design Studio it is now also possible to create custom Template layouts with the use of Placeholders. Each Template can have up to 4 placeholders added, and each one can be positioned and sized separately.
To add a placeholder:
Log in to Fiesta
Select Design Studio in the upper left
Select the design you wish to unlock layers on or select Create Design
If selecting Create Design, select the template or overlay layout
Select the icon with 3 squares and a + above the design space
Move and adjust the Placeholder to the desired Size and Shape
Note: Placeholders are only available when creating a Template
What To Know
Saving Designs
When working on your designs, we all dread losing our progress when the tab closes unexpectedly, the device loses power, or some other misfortune occurs. With the Design Studio Editor that won’t be a worry.
As long as there is an internet connection, the Design Studio Editor saves automatically as changes are made to the designs. There is also a Save button in the upper right, a cloud with a check mark in the center - just in case you want to make sure.
What To Know
Offline Mode
We have gone over the different features the Design Studio Editor has while connected to the internet - but what happens when you are not able to connect?
While in Offline Mode, you won’t have access to the Fiesta Asset Library. However, you can still create, edit, and save new Photo Templates or Overlays directly to your iPad.
You can add Assets to an event while in Offline mode, and the event will run off of the same device with those assets even if the device remains offline. Once the device is connected to the internet again, any added assets will be accessible across all connected devices.
