What Are GIFs?
GIF is one of multiple captures modes available on Salsa for both in-person events through the Salsa iOS app and remote events using Virtual Booth.
GIFs take a series of still photos and combines them together to create an animated capture.
Within the Event Settings, you can adjust how many photos are taken, how fast the animation plays, and how much time guests have between each photo.
GIFs are exported as MP4 videos so that they’re compatible across all devices and social media platforms.
Note: The example shown is not representative of Salsa’s quality. GIFs on Salsa will be in a higher resolution.

What To Know
Best Practices When Using Animated Overlays with GIFs
For the best experience when using animated overlays with GIF, it is recommended that you match GIF mode’s playback speed and frames with the animated overlay’s frame speed and number of frames.
For example, if GIF is set to Medium playback speed with four (4) frames, you will want to have four frames in the animated overlay with the Frame Speed set to 0.8 seconds.
This way the overlay’s animation will match the speed of the GIF and show each frame at least once.
