Assemble Guac
Before diving into the Fiesta Software it is required to have completed the previous steps of assembly.
If you have not completed these steps yet, you can find the guides below:
Before You Start
Sign Up For A Fiesta Account
If you didn’t sign up for your Fiesta account during the Guac Assembly, you will need to complete this step before you can log in to the iOS app. Don’t worry – you will not be billed until the end of your trial.
To create your Fiesta account:
Visit the Fiesta account sign-up page
Enter your name, email address, and phone number
Create a password for your account
Select your profession to personalize your experience
Enter in your billing information
IMPORTANT: After signing up, you’ll be taken straight into the Fiesta Web App. You will want to close the browser and continue the steps by signing in to the Fiesta iOS App on the iPad.
If you’re already in the Fiesta iOS App, you may need to tap Done in the top left corner to close the browser.
Step One
Go To The Guac Dashboard
The Guac Dashboard can be found within the Fiesta iOS App’s General Settings.
To get to the Guac Dashboard:
Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
Tap the Account Management Dropdown in the top right corner
Tap Hardware Dashboard
Note: If Guac is not powered on with the iPad connected, the Guac & Chips Dashboard will report that Guac, the camera, and/or the printer is not connected. This is normal.
Install the iPad into Guac and power on the booth for the components to connect.
If it is still reporting as not connected, head over to the Guac Troubleshooting Guide.
Step Two
Check That Everything Is Connected
The Guac & Chips Dashboard includes a System Check which provides you at-a-glance information about the connected hardware including the camera, printer, and Guac itself.
If everything was set up correctly during the assembly, all three should be showing a green light next to their name.
If you didn’t set up a printer during the assembly, you should see a red light next to Printer Connected. This is normal.
If either Guac or the camera is reported as not connected, head to the Guac Troubleshooting Guide for detailed steps on how to resolve this.
Step Three
Download and Install the Guac Firmware Update
The Guac Firmware is a piece of software installed on the computer inside of Guac.
This firmware is responsible for managing Guac’s hardware components and their communication with the iPad, which allows you to control the printer and LED ring.
Firmware updates may include performance improvements and new features for these hardware components.
To download and install the firmware update:
Open the Hardware Dashboard
Tap Guac Dashboard
From the Firmware Update section tap Download
Confirm by tapping Download Firmware Now.
Note: Depending on the internet speed of the Wi-Fi network that iPad is connected to, it may take a few moments to complete.
Once the download is complete, you receive a message asking if you would like to install the firmware.
Tap Update Now to begin installing the firmware update.
IMPORTANT: You will not be able to use Guac while the update is running.
Do not turn off the booth or close the app until the update is complete.
If you chose to install the update later, you can always return to the Guac Dashboard to start the installation. However, some features may not be available until the firmware is updated.
