What is the Events Screen?
The Events Screen is where you will find all of the past and upcoming events that you have created.
From the Events Screen you can:
Create an Event
Edit Event info
Duplicate an Event
Delete an Event
Enable or Disable the Event Passcode
Add or Remove the Event from the Portfolio
Note: Events are divided into two sections — Upcoming Events and Past Events. Events are placed in these sections and organized based upon the Event Date established within the Event Settings.
Features
Create A New Event
After clicking Create Event, you will need to enter some general event information:
Event Name: This is the name of your event that is displayed on the Live Gallery and Virtual Booth.
Event Date: Adjust the date to better organize your events on the Events Screen.
Note: Choose a single day for events such as parties and weddings, or choose multi-day for conferences and other events that span multiple days. This helps to keep your captures organized and provides your client with a more comprehensive view.
Event Type: select iPad, DSLR, 360, or Virtual Booth to determine the type of event and available feature set.
Note: Virtual Booth is only available to Fiesta Pro Subscribers.
What To Know
Differences Between Event Types
In-Person events are comprised of iPad Events and DSLR Events, and take place using a physical booth that guests interact with to take captures. These events can range from weddings to school dances and anything in between!
iPad Event
The Salsa Booth uses an iPad both as the interface platform that guests interact with, and the camera that captures all media during the event. These events are simple to set up when using the automated camera settings within the iPad, and you only have to manage the settings of a single device (iPad).DSLR Event
The Guac Booth uses an iPad as the interface platform that guests interact with, in conjunction with a DSLR camera controlled by the iPad. This event mode gives you more control to take sharp, hi-resolution captures, but takes a bit more work to set up. Settings such as the Camera Settings are manually set for each event and require more nuance than an iPad Event.
Note: You must be a Guac Booth owner in order to run a DSLR event using Fiesta. The Salsa Booth and third-party photo booths do not have the capability to run a Fiesta DSLR event.
360 Event
The new event type for our Tortilla Booth or any other 360 booth, designed to allow your iPhone to run an event just as seamlessly as an iPad. This event type will currently work exclusively on an iPhone, and allows your event to control your Tortilla Booth.Virtual Event
This allows guests from anywhere in the world to attend. Their personal devices will act as both the interface platform they interact with and the camera to capture all media during the event. That means Virtual Event attendees can take captures with their phones, computers, or tablets!
Features
Edit Event Info
Need to make a change to your event information? Select Edit Event Info at any time to adjust your general event settings:
Event Name: Since the name of your event is displayed across multiple guest-facing platforms, you want to make sure it is clear for both you and your clients.
Event Date: Sometimes the date of an event may change. Keeping the event date accurate ensures your events are organized in the order in which they happen.
Event Type: Change the event type when a client decides they need something a bit different.
Features
Duplicate An Event
Duplicating an event gives you the ability to use settings and information from one event to easily set up another event.
A few situations in which Duplicating an Event is a useful feature:
Creating a multi-day event in which you want to have a separate Live Gallery for each day.
Creating a Hybrid Event that uses both In-Person and Virtual Booth features yet looks consistent across the separate platforms.
Creating a multi-booth event where each booth is using different Camera Settings.
Note: Duplicated events will have separate Live Galleries
Features
Delete An Event
Delete events that are no longer necessary straight from the Events Screen.
When deleting events, it is important to keep the following in mind:
The link to download captures will no longer function
The Live Gallery is deleted and can no longer be accessed
The Live Gallery link will no longer function
Captures from the event will not be accessible
IMPORTANT: Make sure you don’t need any of the data from an event before deleting. Once an event is deleted, all captures from that event will also be deleted and there is no option to recover them.
